Bteva School

A Hebrew education for all Jewish students.

Jewish Education Within Reach

Our Mission

Bteva School is a school for all Jewish students who wish to further their knowledge of Hebrew, strengthen their cultural identity, learn about Jewish traditions, and grow their love of Jewish life in a peaceful, non-judgmental atmosphere. Many Jewish students cannot access a traditional day school education due to cost, geographic location, or other factors. Our goal is to be a resource for these students while fostering a sense of community for all. We do not affiliate with any particular Jewish movement, and our students come from diverse Jewish backgrounds. We believe that this diversity makes us unique, and also makes us a stronger community of learners.

When you join Bteva School, you gain access to the following Jewish learning resources:

  • A rigorous remote Hebrew and Jewish studies curriculum, comparable to the type used in Jewish day schools--at your own pace, and at a more affordable cost

  • A connection to the wider Jewish community, regardless of your geographic location

  • A safe, non-judgmental atmosphere for increasing your Hebrew knowledge and strengthening your Jewish identity

Bringing italam to your home

Our Curriculum

Bteva School is working with iTaLAM to bring its full Hebrew and Jewish studies curriculum to Jewish families who homeschool or wish to supplement their children’s education at home. Your child receives access to all content tracks for their enrolled level for as long as your enrollment with Bteva remains in good standing. Parents teach their own children using resources that help students develop their knowledge of Hebrew, learn about Jewish traditions, and grow their love of Jewish life.

Signing up for the iTaLAM online Hebrew and Jewish studies curriculum through Bteva School gives you access to the following resources to support teaching and learning at home:

  • Access to all Hebrew and Jewish studies content tracks for your child’s enrolled level, with the freedom to choose which parts best fit your child and your family

  • Printable workbooks, flash cards, games, and classroom pages that support Hebrew learning and an understanding of Jewish holidays and traditions

  • Teacher-support videos, downloadable music albums, and a PDF library of supplemental books to help Jewish families teach Hebrew and Jewish studies at home

LEARNING FOR EVERY FAMILY

Who We Serve

Bteva School offers Jewish families a Hebrew and Jewish studies curriculum for homeschool instruction, learning outside the school day, or teaching Hebrew as a second language or an elective. Our goal is to help children deepen their knowledge of Hebrew, strengthen their Jewish identity, learn about Jewish traditions, and grow their love of Jewish life in a peaceful, non-judgmental atmosphere.

Bteva School is for:

  • Jewish homeschool families seeking a Hebrew and Jewish studies curriculum

  • Jewish families whose children attend public or private schools that do not offer these subjects

  • Jewish families in remote locations or with limited access to Jewish educational resources

  • Jewish families seeking an affordable way to teach Hebrew and Jewish studies at home

PURPOSEFUL DIGITAL LEARNING

Multi-sensory Approach

Bteva School recognizes that many Jewish families are careful about the role technology plays in their homes. The digital portion of iTaLAM serves an important educational purpose by bringing together sight, sound, and active participation. Children see Hebrew words, hear them spoken and sung, and practice through interactive stories, games, and activities. This multisensory approach gives children opportunities to connect Hebrew letters and words with their sounds and meanings. The digital activities work alongside printed materials and parent-led instruction, reinforcing what children are learning and encouraging their participation.

An introduction to iTaLAM

Even for families who limit technology use, we encourage including the digital portion through focused, parent-supervised sessions that support their child’s learning.

  • Gives children, including those with accessibility needs, a supportive space to make mistakes, try again, and learn at their own pace

  • Digital lessons connect directly to the workbook activities, giving screen time a specific learning purpose

  • The workbook guides families between printed and digital learning, without encouraging endless screen time
